    How many times have you heard yourself rationalizing, "Once I get some money and manage to have a vacation, then I'll relax." or, "I just need to lose some weight, then I'll be fine"? You'll never be happy if you feel you must first eliminate all the negatives in your life. Try as you might, there will always be something that's bothersome, challenging, or troubling in your day-to-day life.

     

    The key to genuine, sustainable happiness is to stop putting your life on hold, waiting for the myth of a pristine future where everything will be in harmony. A good life doesn't start tomorrow; it starts now, right now!

     

    So stop focusing on what's wrong with your life and instead, begin focusing on what's right in your life. And if you can't find something right with your life, than look again! And again, until you see the opportunities and the good that surrounds you. It's all about learning to live alongside your challenges, not immersed, drowning in them. Having a better life really is a here-and-now choice. What have you got to lose, other than your negativity?
