#SelfCoaching - If you still love Twinkies, Devil Dogs, and Hostess CupCakes, you need to read this!
On March 6, 2019
Even though the names of the treats may have changed, if you grew up like me, you developed an unhealthy competition between healthy, less refined food vs. Hostess CupCakes, Twinkies, Devil Dogs, and so forth. For now, I’m asking you to rethink the spinach, broccoli, and peas . . . to see them, certainly not as punishment food, but as healthy alternatives to a life distorted by hyper-palatable foods.
You want lifelong weight mastery, right? Then stop pretending! You’re going to have to reconcile your feud with healthier foods, especially vegetables and fruit. Granted, unlike a Hostess CupCake, it won’t be love at first bite, but if you step apart from what you crave for just a moment, you’ll recognize that everything good will come when you give yourself the chance to acquire a taste for the more subtle flavors that exist beyond the orgasmic rush of high-calorie junk foods.
