Human beings are creatures of habit. It's absolutely essential that you accept the notion that habits—all habits—are learned. Furthermore, habits—all habits—can be broken. Unfortunately, habits resist change. The familiar concept of yo-yo dieting is a testimony to the fact that in time, old habits will reassert themselves in spite of any previous successful weight loss. As an overweight patient of mine, sounding a lot like Mark Twain, once quipped, “I’ve never had a problem losing weight. I’ve done it thousands of times!”
Rather than being a mindless victim of destructive eating habits, become a mindful warrior and say "NO!" Do this and you'll be starting a new habit.
