Change happens to be an inexorable part of life, and yet, with change we often feel hesitation, discomfort, even anxiety. Why? Because we cling to the status quo (better the devil you know than the devil you don’t). Change essentially makes us feel less in control (or totally out of control). But once you embrace and adjust to change you create a new status quo, at which point you feel secure and back in control.
Next time you try to change some aspect of your life, be reminded that change is a necessary part of a full and rewarding life. And the discomfort temporary!
