When you work, whatever your job, whatever the task, make everything you do become an expression of you. My father used to tell me, "If you're going to be a bean counter, be the best bean counter you can be." Regardless of the task or job, connect rather than disconnect, but most importantly, value and embrace your efforts rather than the anticipated outcome. Do this and you won't have to ask what the meaning of life is. Take, for example, Saint Francis of Assisi who, one day while hoeing his garden, was asked, "If you were to die at sunset today, what would you do?" Saint Francis replied, "I'd finish hoeing my garden." Saint Francis was connected.
