| Dr. Joe, First of all thank you for taking the time to help me. You are busy and I know it must be true because you write books! Every time I have a bill to pay I cramp up for 10 minutes or 30 or 40 minutes. I even have gone days with the same check in my mind not wanting to write not even because I don't have the money. I do have some money, but I feel like maybe it will be cashed at a bad time and then I won't have money. Why can't I write checks like a normal person. Why do I worry about money so much? What can I do? Thank You |

| Dear Guest Money represents lots of things to lots of people; power, status, security, and perhaps most importantly control. Your reaction has more to do with insecurity and control than it does with money. Because of insecurity, youíve begun to develop habits of distrust along with projections of negativity (i.e., ìwhat if the check gets cashed at a bad timeî or ìWhat if I donít have any money?î). Insecurity is the root and from this root grows feelings of insecurity. These feelings are being projected by your what-if thinking. Without trust in self and life, you are left feeling very vulnerable and frozen. Understand that insecurity is a habit, as is distrust and fear. I would suggest that you take a look at some of the articles Iíve written at this website (especially the article about ìfeeding the pigeonsî). Once you begin to understand the nature of your habit of insecurity youíll begin to recognize that youíre being ruled, not by facts, but by fictions. Your healing begins with a recognition that your insecurity about money is nothing more than a bad habit. With a Self-Coaching foundation, you can begin to stand up to any fiction that rules your life. I wish you well, Dr. Joe
