Default Question on Energy Psychology (Tapping) and Anxiety Recovery

I'm working on recovering from anxiety (permanently and completely!) by doing cognitive therapy, working on my negative self-talk and insecurities, working on my avoidances and learning not to be afraid of anxiety. I went to a new counsellor today, and she did some Energy Psychology (EFT /tapping) work with me on my most common anxiety-producing event.

Using EFT has left me feeling quite unsettled and unsure of myself - I want to recover from anxiety by building my confidence again and knowing that I am the author of my own recovery - EFT feels like I would be taking a shortcut.

Do you have any opinions/advice on using EFT in addition to the other methods I'm still using to recover from anxiety?

Dear Featherlou--
Sorry, but I don't have any familarity with EFT. Hopefully, while you're at my site, you'll take a look at Self-Coaching. In my opinion, Self-Coaching is a complete approach to eliminating anxiety.

Wherever your journey takes you, I do hope you liberate yourself from the needless habit of anxiety.
