Before it’s too late

I have a cactus plant that has the most magnificent, snow-white flower that blooms once a year for only one day. I was lucky enough to see it Saturday night, unfortunately, I was distracted by our company and by Sunday morning…the flower was gone, encased in a cloak of green suggesting, “Sorry, you’re too late.” One thing I will tell you with complete certainty, come next October when my flower blooms, I will make the time to savor the moment.

Perhaps the lesson of my cactus flower is that unless we take the time to participate in the life’s transient offerings, life will simply pass us by. Starting today, before it’s too late, make more time for those fleeting opportunities to be awed.
