Whether or not you’re a perfectionist or simply too hard on yourself, no matter what you say or think, you can never give more than your best effort (How can you possibly do better than your best?). So, if you happen to be too focused on your goals, beware! The key to genuine happiness is learning NOT to embrace the best outcome, but to embrace your best effort.
