Therapy vs. Self-help—which one is best for you?

There are many reasons why someone suffering doesn’t choose psychotherapy. It could be fear of the unknown, the stigma of being “in therapy,” the cost, or simply confusion over the many types of therapies and therapists. In this Self-Coaching episode you’ll learn that whatever the reason for not pursuing therapy, that doesn’t mean that you need to concede to a life of struggle—not when you understand that self-help (a.k.a., Self-Coaching) can provide the simple tools necessary for you to achieve a happier, more successful life.

For some, having a structured therapy each week is a lot easier than taking personal responsibility to do the work necessary to succeed. This is where Self-Coaching has an advantage—once you have the tools, you can learn to coach and motivate yourself to reclaim your life.
